Wildflowers are done for the season, but we are in full Christmas mode!
There's much to see here. So, take your time, look around, and learn all there is to know about us. We hope you enjoy our site and take a moment to drop us a line.
We are a private residence with wildflowers right in our backyard and where our fields catch some of the most amazing sunsets! We are located in the Fentress Airfield area of Chesapeake, Virginia (23322) on Bedford Street. Once you make a request for a session, we are happy to drop you our exact address. After reserving a time, you’ll receive instructions on what to do when you arrive.
We also like to let our visitors know that because we do live so close to the Airfield, there is always the possibility of military jets flying during your session. Typically, mornings and weekends are quiet as well as many evenings, but we can’t guarantee it.
Or click here to hop on over to our Pricing page to review options for your session.
If you can’t find an answer to your questions here, please feel free to reach out to us.
Yes! We love seeing our visitors bring their fur babies. We just ask you to give us a heads up, keep them on a leash and pick up after them.
Yes, some are included and you can find what we have available on our props page. Some props will be reserved for paying guests.
Yes, feel free to bring any of your own props, just give us a heads up if it’s something oversized.
No, we kindly ask our visitors not to pick the flowers.
We cut paths for our visitors to walk through the flowers. This helps prevent everyone from making their own paths which snaps the flowers on the stem and kills the blooms. If you see an area to step into, that is fine.
It depends on the abundance of the blooms but typically the max we allow is 4 photographers out per hour. Some days it’s maxed out and other days you might only have one other photographer shooting with you. We want to be considerate of you and not overcrowd the space.
We require everyone to reserve a time to come out so that we know when to expect visitors and also because we limit the amount of people we allow in the fields to a certain number. We want this to be a good experience for everyone and not overcrowded.
Yes! If we have availability we are happy to accommodate your request.
Now that you have your reservation you will receive instructions for what to do when you arrive, including where to park and how to make payment.
Yes, they can be, depending on the direction they fly. They don’t fly every night and sometimes they go weeks with out flying, but we just like to give fair warning. We always have free ear plugs available if needed.
Sometimes they are and sometimes they aren’t. We always try to keep bug spray available just in case you need it, but encourage our visitors to bring some along.
Yes! We even offer daytime reservations where you can pack a picnic lunch and just enjoy the wildflowers.
