Wildflowers

•What’s Included?

With your main field reservation you can enjoy all the wildflowers down to the split rail fence, please do not go past this area unless there is a sign stating the private fields are open for use. (Others have reserved this space for privacy.) You will have use of our split rail fence, blue couch, boho arch and weeping willow tree. Swings and Sun Porch are NOT included with your visit.

Wildflower Rules

To help preserve the beauty of the flowers and ensure everyone has a wonderful experience, please follow these simple rules:

•Share the Space
Be mindful of others enjoying the fields. We want everyone to have a chance to soak in the beauty and capture their perfect moments.

•Stay in the Rows
Please only walk in the designated rows. Stepping onto the flowers can snap their stems and ruins the fields for everyone to use. Please understand how important this is.

•Private Field Access
During the months of July & August, we’ll have a private field available for reservation at the back of the property. This area provides more seclusion and includes our swings, you must avoid this area unless you have reserved it. Swings are NOT included with the main fields but they may be added on for an additional fee the day of, if available.

•Props & Photography Tools
Large props and professional gear are not allowed without prior permission. We want the fields to remain enjoyable and accessible for everyone without distractions or large obstructions.

•Bug Spray
We offer complimentary bug spray near the entrance. If we've had a lot of rain, mosquitos may be present—be prepared!

•Dogs
Furry friends are welcome, but they must be kept on a leash at all times. If you’d like them to join you on our blue couch, you must bring a blanket to place down so their paws do not dirty or damage the furniture, or if small enough they may be held. No paws (or human feet) on the couch please.

•Limits
To keep the experience enjoyable, we allow up to four photographers per hour, depending on bloom availability. We also provide various small props throughout the field to help everyone find great photo

opportunities.

•Finding our fields
To reach the wildflower fields, walk past the chickens and the weeping willow tree—you’ll see the flowers just beyond.

•While You Wait
Please be mindful of other ongoing sessions. If you’re waiting for your photography time to begin, feel free to visit with our chickens—everyone loves them and it’s an easy place for your photographer to find you without interrupting other sessions.

•Restrooms

We do not have public restrooms available. There is a shopping center about 5 minutes down the road with lots of options to swing in and use before you arrive or afterwards. Sorry for the inconvenience!

(Photographers, please share instructions on where to wait with your clients, so that we aren’t causing distraction to Sun Porch sessions and the fields aren’t being overwhelmed by clients waiting. We also ask that you wait to enter the fields until your start time, you could be adding to crowdedness in the fields if you try to start early, and we want to honor everyone’s hour they have reserved.)

Thanks for helping us keep the experience enjoyable for everyone!

Enjoy your time in the wildflowers! Thank you for helping us protect and preserve their beauty.

Sun Porch

The Sun Porch is located just past our home. Once you walk back, you’ll see it on your left-hand side.

 *IMPORTANT FOR 2026*

If you move any props, you must move them back to the original setting. We are running into issues with things being left out of place and messy, which is so disheartening as we spend lots of time creating a flow to each set. Please understand that when you book with us, you agree to reset your space so that it is ready for the next session. We suggest snapping a photo before starting to refer back to, and setting an alarm to help stay on schedule and remind you to reset. Please don’t plan to rush out before checking the space (this includes curtains). Please also let us know if you arrive and the space is in disarray, as we will be addressing this going forward. The space should be ready to go for everyone’s sessions!

Sun Porch Rules (You agree to all upon booking)

  • The Sun Porch is styled seasonally. You can preview the current setup on our website or social media.
  • It is not climate controlled, so please plan accordingly for weather.
  • Setup and takedown of any additional props must be done within your scheduled rental time.
  • You may gently move small decor items, but please do not move large furniture. Return all moved items to their original place.
  • Doors may be closed while shooting. EXTREMELY IMPORTANT! NEVER LEAVE THE DOORS UNHOOKED OR UNLATCHED OR THE WIND WILL BANG THEM AROUND AND POTENTIALLY SHATTER THE GLASS.
    • Latch them shut from the inside to prevent wind from opening them.
    • When finished, hook them back in the open position.
    • If using just one door, please place one of the large rocks in front to prevent it from swinging and possibly shattering.
  • Props may change due to wear and safety, but will be replaced with a similar item.
  • The swing is available for gentle use only, at your own risk.
    • Children must be supervised at all times.
    • A step stool will be available to unhook the swing if needed.
  • No food or drink is allowed unless pre-approved.
  • No running or throwing objects; children must be monitored at all times.
  • Dogs are allowed, but please monitor closely so there are no accidents. NEW RULE FOR 2026-No dogs on furniture unless they are being fully held or you may also bring a blanket to place on couches, which would allow for them on furniture. Scratches and muddy paw prints are hard to clean, please notify us immediately if this happens.
  • Avoid touching windows. If needed, cleaning supplies are provided for touch-ups.
  • The Sun Porch is not fully weatherproof—it has slight venting at the top sides and a back wall constructed from fence panels.
  • Light rain or wind is typically not a problem, but in the case of heavy rain, we’ll reach out to discuss rescheduling options.
  • Sun Porch rental does not include wildflower or field access.
  • Renters are responsible for any damages during their session.
  • Please exit on time to ensure a smooth schedule for others.

•Restrooms

We do not have public restrooms available. There is a shopping center about 5 minutes down the road with lots of options to swing in and use before you arrive or afterwards. Sorry for the inconvenience!

Thank you for helping to keep all sessions running smoothly!

Weeping Willow

•Please be sure to keep your sessions running on time as there is a minimal amount of downtime between sessions for resetting.

•Reset the space. The downtime we allot is to allow time for you to reset the space. This set is simple but if blankets and pillows are disheveled, please take a moment to refluff and organize, so it’s ready for the next session. (We also ask that you let us know if the space was a disaster when you arrived so that we can address it.)

•No climbing the tree. You may place children in the very center trunk of the tree, if you desire, but please no climbing on any branches, even if they seem strong enough. We do not want to put any unnecessary stress on the tree as we want to preserve it for as long as we are blessed to have it.

• No pulling or hanging from branches. It  is very important to us that the weeping willow branches are never pulled. Please, please do not allow kids to tug on them or rip leaves off. The Willow tree will have a lot of visitors and this will quickly destroy it if allowed. If children are unable to stop pulling on the branches when asked, they must be removed from the area immediately. We are sorry to be so firm, but this is extremely important.

•No other sets or spaces are included with your visit, please do not sneak pictures with the Sun Porch or any other sets that we may have running at the same time.

•These sessions take place while we are in the middle of planting and growing season. Please avoid wandering the fields as there will be lots of freshly tilled dirt that will be working to sprout wildflowers, and we don’t want them to get trampled.

•Please inform us if there is any damage that occurs during your session time.

Make some magic!

Rustic Horse Trailer

We have a few important guidelines to help keep the space safe, clean, and enjoyable for everyone. We know instructions can sometimes feel tedious, but they are in place for good reason. We appreciate you taking the time to read through them and helping us ensure they are followed by everyone in your party.

Finding the Trailer

To reach the Horse Trailer:

  • Walk toward the chicken area.
  • Turn left at the Butterfly Mural.
  • Cross the bridge into the side yard, where you will find the trailer.

Please note that the ground in this area is somewhat uneven, so watch your footing as you walk.

After crossing the bridge, please stay to the right and do not wander toward the road. This area is located behind the Sun Porch, and if a session is in progress, it may cause disruptions. You are welcome to use the open space beyond the Horse Trailer on the same side of the bridge.

Additional Sets Not Included

The following areas are not included with your Horse Trailer rental and must be reserved separately:

  • Wildflower Field
  • Weeping Willow
  • Vintage Truck
  • Holiday Sets
  • Any other specialty setups

Please make sure everyone in your party is aware of and respects this policy.

Important Safety Rule

Do not allow anyone to climb on or sit near the front trailer hitch.

This rule is in place solely for safety reasons. Anyone observed sitting or climbing on the hitch may not be permitted to rent the trailer again in the future. Thank you for helping us prevent accidents.

Trailer Rules

  • No food or drinks inside the trailer.
  • Please do not move props. This helps prevent damage, dirt, and unnecessary wear.
  • Do not allow children to pull on the curtains. They are installed in a specific way and can be difficult to repair.
  • Please avoid touching the artificial flower arrangements unless a minor adjustment is needed. Do not remove flowers or allow children to play with them.
  • Leave the trailer gate in the open position. It is secured for safety, and we do not want anyone attempting to close it.
  • Clients may sit on the wheel wells above the tires for photos. However, the trailer hitch is never permitted for sitting or climbing.
  • The trailer is vintage, rustic, and delicate in some areas. Please treat it with care and help ensure everyone uses it respectfully.
  • At the end of your session, please return all items to their original locations and restyle any pillows and blankets.

Waiver Requirement

Please ensure that everyone participating has completed the 2026 waiver. The waiver can be found on our website.

Updates

From time to time, we may update these instructions. The most current version will always be available on our website.

Thank you again for taking the time to review these guidelines. We hope you enjoy your session and have a wonderful experience with our Rustic Horse Trailer!

Vintage Truck

1. No Food, Drinks or Dogs Inside – We want to prevent spills, stains, and odors. Dogs may not enter the cab, but they are welcome in the bed of the truck.

 2. Interior – You may sit inside, but we ask that you do not touch anything except the steering wheel. Do not turn any knobs, switches or gears. You must relay this info to your clients, this is an old vehicle and it would be pricey to replace parts. So let’s just make it easy by making it all off limits. We are just here to sit in the cab and maybe peek out the back for a cute shot! Please use your discretion, if you have a client with children that are not well behaved, please do not allow them inside, it’s a privilege and if there are issues we will discontinue this option.

 3. Exterior – We want to prevent scratches and dents. Please do not move any props, this will help prevent anything from bumping and scratching the truck and help keep the truck ready for sessions after you. Please pay attention to your clients, ultimately you will be responsible for any damage caused during your session. Dogs are also welcome in the bed of the truck. We will provide a step stool to help make it easier to enter and exit the bed of the truck.

4.Time-Please be sure you are finished by your end time so all sessions can run on time.

 5. Reset –We try to leave about 10-15 min between sessions for a reset. If anything was moved during your session, please reset everything back to the original setting and leave it as you found it. This includes blankets and pillows, please refresh them and fix any blankets inside the truck and in the bed.  We want it to be ready for the next session the same way it was ready for you.

 8. Report Any Incident Immediately – Even small scuffs or spills must be disclosed. Also, if the set is in disarray when you arrive, please contact us so we can make sure everyone is following the instructions that we provide. If you are found to not follow these instructions, you are at risk of being cancelled with any future bookings. This is not something we want to do, but we need everyone to understand the importance of all the info we provide. It’s to help all sessions go smoothly, including yours!

Cancellations -We understand things come up, but this set is a bit different since we also have to cover the cost of the truck. Please provide 14 days notice if you need to cancel, otherwise you are still responsible for the cost of the session. You will not be penalized if rain or wind are a factor and we have to cancel, but we will not allow cancellations prior to the session date due to forecasted weather. It’s constantly changing and often times it ends up being fine. Weather cancellations are made same day until we know for sure what to expect. Our No Show policy applies to this session as well and can be found on the website.

Lastly, just a reminder that this is not our truck and we are only able to offer it through the kindness of our neighbors. Please respect it as if it were your beloved vehicle.

A Friendly Reminder About Time & Parking

Just a quick note to help keep us all happy: please be mindful of your end time. We've noticed that some sessions tend to run over, and while we absolutely love having you here, it's important for us to manage parking and flow for those arriving afterward. To be fair to everyone — including our own family, who patiently stays tucked away while sessions are happening — we kindly ask that once your time is up, you exit promptly and avoid lingering.

We’re truly grateful for your continued support and are so thankful for your understanding!
